There has been quite a lot going on at Chez Bethany lately. Words are so…wordy, so I will let some pretty photos do the talking for me.
This beautiful card was titled “Eggplants” and was taken at Red Truck Farm on Sauvie Island (a beautiful piece of land rife with the goodness of the earth—i.e. farms—just outside of Portland, OR for those who aren’t familiar with the area). The photographer is Kristine Cordier Karnezis, and the cards are available from Caldera Press.
I finally finished my fingerless mitts! They are so incredibly warm that I’ve decided they don’t need thumbs. It will be nice when they both have an equal amount of halo.
This little beauty is my tonic for finding out I couldn’t finish Cerai until I got a much longer pair of 2.5mm needles. Problem-solving Shawl isn’t a very compelling name, but it addresses a lot of issues other designs seem to have (maximizing yardage and the edge curling under at the top being chief among them) when it has a prettier one I will put it here.
It is so exciting to finally be spinning this up. It was purchased at Sock Summit back in 2009. Merino, cashmere, angora—oh my! This stuff feels like pouring heavy whipping cream over your hands. Beautiful…
What kind of cat-owner would I be without posting this adorable picture of one of my little critters? This yarn is just as soft as she is, and she knows it…I’d better put it somewhere safe lest my precious little darling drag it all over the living room in a jealous rage.
